Today, we were delighted to welcome Antonia from Cleveland Fire Brigade to St John Vianney for an informative and engaging fire safety session.

During the visit, Antonia spoke to our pupils about the importance of fire safety, sharing practical advice on how to stay safe at home, in school, and within the community. She also discussed the serious consequences of anti-social behaviour that can result in fires being deliberately started, helping children to understand the impact these incidents can have on individuals, families, emergency services, and the wider community.

The session provided a valuable opportunity for our pupils to learn about the vital role of the fire service while reinforcing important messages about personal responsibility and community safety.

We were incredibly proud of our children, who listened attentively throughout, asked thoughtful questions, and engaged positively with the discussion. Their excellent behaviour and enthusiasm for learning made the visit a great success.
