Hands-On Learning Through Clay Creations

Year 2 pupils at St John Vianney Catholic Primary School in Hartlepool recently enjoyed a fantastic hands-on pottery workshop, where they learned all about the art of pottery and even created their very own clay bowls.

The session gave children the opportunity to explore a new creative skill while developing their confidence, imagination and fine motor abilities.

Creativity, Fun and Plenty of Smiles

The workshop was filled with fun, creativity and plenty of messy learning as pupils shaped, moulded and designed their clay creations.

There were lots of smiles, plenty of clay-covered hands and some truly impressive bowls to be proud of. The children embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoyed bringing their ideas to life.

A Memorable Experience

The pottery workshop was such a success that it has quickly become one of the children's favourite lessons of the year.

It provided a wonderful opportunity for pupils to express themselves creatively while learning about a traditional craft in an engaging and interactive way.
