Our Year 5 children have arrived safely at Pybus and are already making the most of their exciting residential experience! They enjoyed lunch in the sunshine and have been gathering their energy ahead of setting up their tents—adventure truly awaits!
Although the weather later took a turn, it hasn’t dampened spirits one bit. With the rain setting in, Year 5 brought the cooking indoors, where our budding chefs took turns in the kitchen, creating delicious treats and making wonderful memories together.
This morning, the group woke up to a very British scene—no beautiful sunrise, just clouds and a little gloom, although there was a hint of light beginning to peek through. Fingers crossed for brighter skies ahead!
Sadly, the weather was too wet and cold for camping outside, so the children enjoyed an indoor camp-out instead, showing great flexibility and keeping the fun alive regardless of the conditions.
Everyone is now hoping the weather improves so they can head outdoors to cook breakfast and continue their adventures.
Whatever the weather, it’s clear that Year 5 are having a fantastic time filled with teamwork, resilience and plenty of smiles.
