Year 3 spent an unforgettable day outside with the West View Project CIC, learning all about outdoor living and discovering what it truly means to work together in nature. The whole class embraced the challenge, stepping away from the classroom and into hands‑on experiences that encouraged teamwork, resilience and independence.
Building, Problem‑Solving and Fire‑Cooking
Throughout the day, the children built tents and teepees, worked in teams to solve outdoor challenges, and even enjoyed cooking marshmallows over an open fire. Their enthusiasm was clear as they tried new skills, supported each other and grew in confidence.

Appreciating Life Without Modern Comforts
The experience helped the children reflect on how different life can be without electricity or modern conveniences. It also gave them a new appreciation for the comfort of indoor spaces and the daily luxuries we often take for granted.
It was a fantastic day of exploring, learning and working together. Well done, Year 3 — your teamwork and resilience shone throughout the whole experience.
