Dear Parents,
I have been informed that a considerable proportion of our Teaching Staff are members of the National Education Union, which will make it very difficult to open as normal. I am prioritising vulnerable children and key workers (similar to during the pandemic) as well as Year 6 and our youngest children, but need families to prepare for the school being closed to most children on 1st February.
Daycare up to and including children accessing Bay Room are unaffected by this industrial action. I will contact you later this week with a more detailed plan as the expected position for the day becomes clear, however, as members of the union do not need to inform me of their intentions until the day, even this will not be definitive.
I appreciate this is neither clear nor particularly helpful. This is going to be a difficult few weeks, so I apologise, in advance, for the uncertainty for yourselves and your children.
